Mark Knoop

Pianist and conductor Mark Knoop has built a reputation at the forefront of contemporary music while remaining equally at home in standard and 20th-century repertoire. Noted for his versatile technique and imaginative interpretations, he performs regularly as a soloist, with ensembles Plus-Minus (external link) and Apartment House (external link), and as duo partner with soprano Juliet Fraser (external link).

A committed advocate for new music, Mark has commissioned and premièred countless works with composers including Joanna Bailie (external link), Cassandra Miller (external link), Sam Salem (external link), Matthew Shlomowitz (external link), Steven Kazuo Takasugi (external link), Øyvind Torvund, and Akiko Ushijima (external link).
